Immy buffet is still good after 20 years!
Last night, at Toyota Park in Bridgeview Illinois, Jimmy Buffett took the stage. His show on Saturday night, August 15th was just as good as you might expect from this seasoned performer. It felt right to listen to Buffet's country, southern, island sound on that warm and balmy night. He managed to play all the songs that long-time Parrot heads love to hear, as well as some 'new' old songs. Buffett visited the Beatles playlist with a lively rendition of 'Rocky Raccoon' and 'Yellow Submarine'. The show was still very good, despite avoiding the big show-stopper song with large props and a half-hour rendition of his more famous songs from 15 years ago. Two jumbo-trons were present so that everyone, except those on the stadium floor, could see. Those with pricier seats on the stadium floor stood for the entire concert, looking around taller individuals grooving to 'Grapefruit Juicy Fruit' and 'Cheeseburger in Paradise'. This was one of the more disappointing aspects of the nearly perfect concert.
